According to Mr Alvin it was something about costumes not being hand-made. All the seniors' costumes were bought/tailored from outside. So apparently we didn't get as much 'creativity points'? Well, just so you know for March Pasts in the next few years to come!

What was the unspoken rule?

Unspoken Rule by Erich LimErich Lim, 27 Apr 2009 00:40

I've moved the discussion to the General Discussion on the page. Please reserve the Discussion forum for questions pertaining to 'editing' the page (like where to appropriately put this section, how to add this etc etc.)

you can youtube this song and see it being played on multiple instruments! but anyway, we could use this song to break our 007formation AND do rollout banner to cover up the messyness of breakout from the 007formsa AND do the 8 medium-sized flag choreography thing. if it appears boring when u visualize it u could actually fit in a chant to make it more lively but the banner would be covering everyone unless u get the cheerleaders to do it…

get what i mean? i strongly suggest we slip in this song because i've asked around, and none of them get the james bond feel from any of the songs we have, even YouKnowMyName isn't as distinct as THE james bond theme played by Monty Norman… especially since the people we are aiming to impress are the judges who usually consist of older people would be more familiar with the good old theme song…

i know the band has alot to learn now itself, but still, consider this song. it'll be easy to even use this as our tanda hormat because the actions would be so classic james bond, you just can't go wrong. what do you guys think?

Raised table takes up space and is harder to build I think. And since we're having giant dice and cash chips, it's only logical that we're miniatures standing on a card table floor. But we're still open to suggestions.

I think we should move this discussion onto the House Deco page itself. Like how we did when discussing choices for our House Theme (check the history and compare revision 55 and 54 for example). Most people won't be able to see traffic in a hidden forum.

Would standing on the table be cooler or having a raised table cooler?

It was just a suggestion! Anyway, yes giant table. Or on the floor (as if you're 'standing' on the table). Jane you hear that?

Giant dice !! and giant cash chips. Very very cool. =) Giant roulette is HARD. Can't we just make a plain flat table instead of the roulette wheel…it's like crazy. I mean, it has to spin. XD And look cool at the same time.

It'll be pretty cool if we could actually choreograph a 'spy sequence' but that will be very tough! You hit more or less what we thought of. We planned giant dice and cash chips, but, hey… a giant roulette table will be awesome (not sure how feasible it is to build one though!). Jane apparently has plenty of ideas for House Deco so we shall see from her!

Oh wow. The ideas. Uh, team of seladang spies. Or, you know what, put a gambling-looking sort of table, like the poker [was it poker?] table in the movie in the middle. Somehow. Or something. And use lots and lots of black. What's the story behind 'Casino Royale' in a house deco-y sort of way? - Alexis Lee

Yes we will revive old chants but just for in-practice fun. e.g. Bob the Builder and the Ayamas chant are fun chants but not very usable in March Pass.

Oh, and I've made a 'New Chant Suggestions' to fit Khalilul's new chant because the other seniors have not known about it yet. I guess it is good for others to give us ideas!
